Default Laptop or Desktop?

Which do you prefer? I never thought I would like a laptop until I was given one at the office to use and I will never go back. I love the freedom to move around or go mobile, the space I saved by getting rid of an old desk, being able to watch tv and blog away and the energy I save.

I like it so much I have been thinking about an iPad when the new version comes out.

I love my laptop but I prefer to use my desktop. Not really sure why but I just like the desktop better.

I like the mobility of a laptop but would never ever give up my desktop.

I had a desktop - long ago, screen size was fairly small - then I got a laptop (an old Dell - I still have it - I keep my iTunes on it) and then got my beloved old Toshiba satellite. Anyway, I needed a new pc for doing 3d modelling - its a bugger upgrading RAM etc on a laptop - and got a desktop again. I discovered I could get twice as much pc power in a desktop for the price of a laptop. My current desktop (Quad core i7 bla bla bla) cost me LESS than my three year old Toshiba. But that is one BLOODY GOOD laptop. The screen with the desktop is HUGE too. I had got used to everything being tiny.

Am using a desktop for the past forever and can't see myself giving it up either. Find a laptop too small sometimes. Wouldn't mind the freedom though to move around with a laptop.

when my desktop died I was thrown straight into using my laptop daily. I enjoy it now but didn't at first. In the end I've built a new desktop, but I still use the laptop for most things now.

I prefer a desktop over a laptop . i've been playing around with both of them for years now ..

The laptop over heats , only good for portability ... not good for gaming

The desktop is a real super power in this case :)

I would take a desktop over a laptop any day. Though, I use my laptop alot. I mostly keep it on a tv tray next to my bed for use when laying down. Other than that, I hardly use it at all unless I have to go somewhere and do some troubleshooting. But, I think the reason I love the desktop so much is that its central and easier to see on and easier to type on. Plus, my desktop is much better than my laptop all around as a computer. So, who knows. But I am all for desktops over laptops

I gotta go with Laptop! I had a Desktop for years and about 6 years ago I got a Laptop for the very first time and would never ever go back to a Desktop! Just the fact of being able to take it with you on trips and go to Mcdonalds and connect to their free WiFi and be able to get directions, check your email or whatever the fact may be. For that simple reason I think Laptops blow Desktops outta the water!
