President of Iceland Would Ban Pineapple Pizza Topping
February 20, 2017 Offbeat and Weird

There are probably not too many people that would disagree with him. Iceland President  Guðni Th. Jóhannesson told a crowd that he would ban pineapple as a pizza topping if he could. The president was visiting a school where he told the students that if he could pass laws on his own that he would ban pineapple from being a pizza topping.

If you are wondering about Hawaiian Pizza. It appears to be a Canadian thing. Sam Panopoulos claims that he created the first Hawaiian pizza at the Satellite Restaurant in Chatham, Ontario, Canada in 1962.  Some people get mixed up and call this a Canadian but a Canadian is pepperoni, bacon and mushroom.

Just as an update. The Pizza Topping War has taken on a new front. We might have to join this fight.

The Pineapple Pizza war took another strange turn over the weekend. Let hope that this gets retired soon.
