My other half recently sprung the idea on me that she wants to go on vacation this year and wanted some ideas on where we should go. The one place that caught our eyes was the Outer Banks region of North Carolina. There looks like there is lots to do, I was surprised really that the area was so rich in history. There are lighthouse tours, historical reenactments as well as the Wright Brothers National Memorial. Of course I did a quick check and there are a number of golf courses located nearby to keep me occupied.

The one thing I dislike about vacations is having to stay in a hotel but there seems to be a lot of Outer Banks rentals.  I noticed that Carolina Designs has a number of really nice rental properties. They have some great amenities that you wouldn't get at a hotel or motel. Swimming pool, hot tub, pool tables and wet bars are a few of the perks you get with your house rental.
