It was another boring shut in weekend around here. It rained for a straight day and then we got pounding snow for another full day. I was pretty much shut in for the entire weekend watching cartoons on TV.
I found myself caught up watching anime cartoons for most of the weekend. It’s something I haven’t really done before and I will admit that I don’t know much about anime in general. I have always been somewhat of a closet fan of comic books but I have always just followed the basic Marvel and DC staples. The basic run of the mill stuff.
Anime is totally new to me and I was fascinated by the story lines and the artwork. A lot of it reminded me of the 80’s cartoons I used to watch when I was a kid. It’s all about the action and impossible and I like it.
The only anime I had watched previously was Digimon type stuff. I have a friend that lent me digimon dvd season 1 years ago. The anime I was watching this weekend was far from the digimon cartoons. Now I am off to scour the internet to find out what’s hot in the world of anime and see what I should be watching.
