My friend calls me up and says he wants an “ultrabook” but he knows nothing about them. I don’t know how me got it in his head that his is what he now wants but he wants me to help him find the best ultrabook laptop for his money. I admit that he caught me a little off guard so I had to do some digging to find out just what makes a machine an “ultrabook”.
I read a number of different websites and they all seem to key on the same qualities or features. They are an mid point between small netbooks and larger laptops. They utilize an Intel processor, more power than a netbook, have a slimmer design with a screen size about 13 or 15 inches (there are some a little larger), upgraded security and have a longer battery life. Once they get the Intel in them the manufactures can build them the way they want.
Why my friend who doesn’t even know how to turn a computer one wants one is beyond me.
