A bra-clad woman with probably the worst set of eyebrows I have have seen in my life is charged with injuring a Portage police officer in a drunken rage early Saturday reportedly kicked and screamed her way to a possible 12-year prison sentence.
Courtney L. Steinhorst, 20, of Baraboo is charged with two counts of felony battery of a peace officer, two counts of felony attempted battery of a peace officer, and misdemeanor charges of resisting an officer and disorderly conduct. Portage police, responding to a report of a disturbance shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday near Wisconsin and West Cook streets, found Steinhorst apparently intoxicated. She had taken off her shirt, according to a criminal complaint.
As officers took Steinhorst into custody, she reportedly kicked one officer in the leg, broke her cellular phone by throwing it on the ground, kicked the cage inside a police car and banged her head on the car, kicked two deputies in the shoulder at the jail, and attempted to bite or scratch hospital staff at Divine Savior Healthcare using her fingers, nails and teeth, the complaint stated.
