With Christmas right around the corner I have been scouring around the internet and local stores looking for some interesting and unique gifts for my family and friends. I hate giving the usual gifts like cards, socks or other clothing items. That’s when I saw one of those late night cheesy commercials on tv.
It was one of those commercials where a guy in a bad suit, much like a used car salesman from the seventies is offering to buy your used gold and jewellery. There has to be a reason why they want your gold and that is because the price of golf is one the rise. I checked google and found a few current articles that stated the price is expected to rise.
With that in mind I am going to buy gold coins for some of my family members. What says love better than a nice gold coin? I think it sounds great, they can put them away for a rainy day and if the price goes up they are better off.
Of course I will never have enough gold to become a super villain with a master plan to dominate the world but maybe I can buy something nice for myself.
The video seems to take a bit before it actually shows up but it's there. I have seen it.
A few months ago I paid a couple of hundred bucks plus for my iPhone4. That was a decent deal at the time. Or so I thought. Tonight on the way home from work I stopped at the local mall do pick up a few things and maybe pick up some Christmas presents if anything caught my eye. I couldn't believe some of the prices of things I saw on my travels. Retailers are pretty much giving stuff away this year trying to make some decent sales. I was in a cell phone store and noticed the HTC Desire was rock bottom. I noticed because it was one of the phones I was look at earlier in the year.
Christmas is here. I never understand why people do their shopping so early in the year when two weeks before every year the stores pretty much just give it away. If the prices are this low right now I can't wait to see how low they will go on Boxing Day. Maybe I will find that home theatre system I have been after.
Talk about a Merry Christmas. A hippie was arrested after police found a lovingly decorated a two-metre cannabis plant, complete with with tinsel and twinkling lights. For those keeping score that is a 6 ft high plant. The plan was to perform the same routine as any other Christmas Day: place presents under the tree and unwrap them as a group.
'In response to questions by the dumbfounded officers, the hashish fan confirmed that the "tree" would be decorated further and, on Christmas, gifts would be arranged underneath according to tradition,' the report continued.
