Today I had a free day to do whatever I wanted to do. No wife home and no children either. I could have spent it doing nothing but sitting on the couch like I do most days but today I decided to go out, do some shopping and walk a bit around the downtown core checking out some new stores. After it was over I decided it was a Geek Day. Although I went to a Costco and a Pharmacy for a few supplies the rest of my time was spent geeking it out.
My first stop was at a used CD/BluRay/Video Game store. If you are over the age of 30 and hanging out in a used video game store and that's the highlight of your day, you need to find a woman and move out of your mothers basement and get a real apartment. I dropped in and grabbed a few PS3 Move games like tennis, bowling and fighting. Besides the odd crack head selling some old games I was entertained by two 30+ virgins who were debating with the store owner if Sony was releasing a new video game system next year. They of course knew this to be the truth as they knew everything about video games, in their minds. I kind of felt back for the guy trying to make a few bucks selling games as I have a feeling these two clowns are probably there every day. Nice life if you can get it I guess.
My next stop was a comic book store. Are there even comic book stores anymore? This one had comics but I think it was front for getting teenagers hooked on little cards and dice rolling. I have no idea what they were doing, rolling dice, buying cards and talking about their spells of fire and ice. I just wanted to buy some Fantastic 4 and Wolverine comics to read. I think these kids should get a spell to pick up some girls and stop hanging around the comic book store talking about spells they obviously don't have but believe they do. I never saw one of them turn anything to ice when I was there.
I did get a nice Wolverine 300 comic. I dig the artwork. He looks way more menacing than the teenagers rolling their dice in the back room of a comic book store. I also grabbed a few Fantastic 4's but nothing to write home about.

I also stopped in a crazy store that had some crazy looking pipes and lamps for sale. That was my first time in one of those stores. I enjoyed looking at the artwork but it too was full of teenagers. Probably not the same ones that were throwing dice down the street but you never know. I had enough of teenagers at that point and left in a hurry.
