All the people with bad taste must have been doing something else this weekend. Looks like they were too busy to see Nicolas Cage in his latest flop. It was the worst movie weekend in 5 years for movie goers. It would appear that people would rather stay at home and watch paint peel than go out and watch this cheeseball actor in another stellar appearance on film. The last weekend to post such poor results was the weekend after Labor Day in 2003, when the highest-grossing film was the David Spade flick "Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star." Cage's movie only did a million more. Maybe it will be an eye opener for him to stop taking such stupid roles and get back to making decent movies. You know like Gone in Sixty Seconds and The Weatherman. Just kidding those are terrible too. It's a pattern.
